...well, not quite, but another cool old camera. I used this camera in the past, however the shutter now needs repair. It's got a 50mm 1.8 lens on it there, the same type of lens I used to take this photo, only I used a Canon.

My Film Cameras

Above: My Canon FTb paired with a Sigma 28 – 200mm lens and wearing a Vivitar Vari Power flash. A great camera, even if it is 37 years old! Actually – even better that it is 37 years old! It will long out live my Canon EOS 20D.
Below are all of my film cameras and lenses, including the Canon FTb. The Praktica uses the old style screw mount lens.

Walter Mallard’s Canon EOS 40D and Canon EOS 5D
Walter and I were comparing his Canon EOS 40D with my Canon EOS 20D and I took the photo on the right! The 40D is a really nice camera – and the “Live View” is amazing. The 40D is lighter – even with battery grip – than my Canon EOS 20D, which is actually a negative for me - although it is a big plus for many. I prefer a nice heavy camera. All in all, it's a beautiful camera though! (Still... I love my 20D!!)
The photo below is of Walter’s Canon EOS 5D – a truly amazing camera. In that photo it is perfectly paired with a Canon EF 24 – 70 f/2.8 L lens.

The Photographer and The Equipment
Okay, before I go too far into this photography blog, I thought I should do some form of introduction.
And how better to do an introduction on a photography blog, than with photographs?
And how better to do an introduction on a photography blog, than with photographs?
This is me – as photographed by Walter B. Mallard Jr. Of course this is also my profile photo on here, so you’ve probably already seen it. However, this is the most popular photograph of me, so it’s my favorite to use!
This is my camera – my Canon EOS 20D. The extremely talented Walter Mallard also took this photo. Lovely, isn’t it?
Well, in my way of thinking that just about sums it up. Any questions?
