Georgia is filled with old houses. Especially in the counties of Sumter, Harris, Taylor, and Marion – and really many more of the country counties!
Presented here are three old houses that I have been able to photograph on various excursions around Marion County.

The photo above is a fancier house than you usually see abandoned around here. It’s really a very nice house, but sadly quickly deteriorating. Running alongside the house is a white picket fence with beautiful blooming daffodils.
The house in the photo directly above is more typical of the old abandoned houses around here. It’s located in an old pecan orchard turned into pine logging land in who-knows-where Marion County.
The final pictured house is located on a wildlife preserve in Marion County owned by the Dillard Family and known as The Farm. True to the title, the several hundred acre preserve is filled with old abandoned farm buildings and old farm equipment.
