About Me

Robert Wright: Columbus, Georgia, United States; Hi, I'm Robert Wright. I'm a Columbus, Georgia Photographer. Photography has been a long time passion of mine. Inspired and taught by my uncle, Walter Mallard (check him out, he's the best!) I have been taking pictures since I was quite young. Naturally my talents have improved since those six year old backyard photographer with a drug store film camera days. Currently I shoot with a Canon EOS 40D. There is not much that I don't enjoy photographing, but my recent goals have been capturing rural scenes, traveling Alabama and Georgia's beaten and uncared for dirt roads looking for relics of a not that distant past and capturing them before they are gone for ever. In addition to photography, I have also recently purchased a JVC harddrive video camera, and have ventured into making an episodic series of my various adventures. While not out on a photography expedition, you can often find me honing my fly fishing skills wherever possible, working on my 1982 Jeep Wagoneer or 300zx, caring for my cigar collection or diving into my new hobby of pipes.
