December 15th, 2007 – cows in the rain in Marion County, Georgia. Walter Mallard and I had taken a short trip to photograph a falling down shack. After photographing the shack, we noticed these poor creatures getting soaked by the rain behind it. We both photographed them and have our own different “cows in the rain” photos. These are my exposures – taken from inside the warm, and dry news truck.Welcome. This blog was originally intended to showcase my photography. It still will. However, it will also expand to my other many interests. I may write about fly fishing. My 1982 Jeep Wagoneer. Or even my cigars. I hope that you enjoy and be sure to visit often.

low light is tough! See this is where my PHD camera breaks down. One of these days I need a DSLR
Yeah, this photo is actually intentionally a little under exposed to add to the whole artsy feel of it. When someone told me they found my cows in the rain pictures "depressing" I felt quite happy! The exact feeling I wanted off of them! ;-) I've actually only had VERY little experience with anything other than a DSLR, but now having used a DSLR I don't think I could ever use anything else! Although I have seen some VERY nice photos taken with non-DSLR cameras.
