I photographed these “blooms” on an expedition down a Taylor County, Georgia dirt road on the 3rd of February 2008. While I am not exactly sure what kind of tree they are on, they hold a close resemble to the “blooms” you find on Pecan trees in early Spring.
In the background is a peacefully flowing stream.
