A Marion County Oak.

This is one of my “lone tree” photographs. I was sitting on a bridge with a beautiful stream flowing underneath and toying with my camera’s manual focus while it was off (the battery was nearly dead, and I was taking it easy due to a leg injury.) I thought this tree was kinda neat looking, so I focused in on it, but did not intend to take a photograph. When I saw the tree framed up and in focus in the viewfinder I immediately knew that I had a great photo here! So I powered up the camera and hobbled over for a better angle of the tree. It became one of my favorite photographs from that day!
