This is one of my “lone tree” photographs. I was sitting on a bridge with a beautiful stream flowing underneath and toying with my camera’s manual focus while it was off (the battery was nearly dead, and I was taking it easy due to a leg injury.) I thought this tree was kinda neat looking, so I focused in on it, but did not intend to take a photograph. When I saw the tree framed up and in focus in the viewfinder I immediately knew that I had a great photo here! So I powered up the camera and hobbled over for a better angle of the tree. It became one of my favorite photographs from that day! Welcome. This blog was originally intended to showcase my photography. It still will. However, it will also expand to my other many interests. I may write about fly fishing. My 1982 Jeep Wagoneer. Or even my cigars. I hope that you enjoy and be sure to visit often.
